Who'll be The Railwire's "Eyes & Ears" at the NTS?

The NMRA annual convention and accompanying National Train Show will be next week, July 18-21, in Anaheim, CA. Several manufacturers have said they will have announcements there, possibly in N scale. So, who will be there with digital camera that can photograph and describe what is newsworthy?

I, for one, am particularly curious as to what Dapol, the British company, will be offering in North American prototype, as the UK models I have made by it are excellent.

Look forward to reading someone's reporting!  8)

Doesn't Bachmann now own Dapol?  I can't find it now, but swore I just saw a page with a Dapol 0-6-0 diesel that was the first made by Bachmann.

Some of Bachmann's releases got leaked. On30 railbus, On30 outside framed 4-4-0, G scale Davenport. Didn't see any N (yet) though.

Some questions for those who attend:

 - Kato - is the ES44DC a verified fact?
 - Kato - what about BNSF and NS C44-9w (I know NS is C40-9W)
 - Red Caboose - what are they doing?

Thanks!

Some more questions for those who attend:

 - Kato - is the SD70ACe / SD70M-2 really dead because of licensing reasons ?

Thanks!

I just happen to be heading to the Port at Long Beach that week and extended my stay to make time for visiting the NTS.  I'll be there Friday evening Nikon in hand to take photos.  If it looks like there'll be more to see on Saturday, I may stop by again on Saturday morning as well before catching my flight out.

Chris, Bachmann now owns Graham Farish, the biggest N scale manufacturer of UK models. Dapol is an independent growing company in multiple scales. Used to be a plastic kit outfit. Dapol has taken full page ads in N-Scale and Model Railroader saying it'll have big announcements at the NTS.

I wish I could give a better source, but a friend who owns a major LHS in Toronto was speaking with a contact in the UK and he said he was almost sure that Dapol was going to jump in with a series of 4-6-0 Ten Wheelers..... giddy as I am about the possibility I can't confirm the rumour... but wanted to serve it up to see if anyone has heard similar.............?
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Yup, I heard Dapol was going to do the two locomotives Bachmann announced and abandoned, the Ten-Wheeler and the Decapod. After all, it just announced an LNER B17 (4-6-0) and the "Evening Star" 9F (2-10-0) in 1:148 UK N scale.  8)

I will be at NMRA Nationals from Wed-Fri, and will be at the NTS on Fri AM.   Will take a few pics and post anything I find noteworthy from NTS.  Wed, will be doing LDSIG activities, Thurs - maybe LDSIG, maybe other activities.  Perhaps will see some of you there.  :-) .
