Tom-

I wouldn't use Future for still or deep water.

I had two bad experiences with Future. First, after a couple of coats, each thin pour (which took DAYS to dry completely) developed little holes or flaws when drying. A new coat would fix that one, but leave one somewhere else. I put probably 4 coats on that way until I gave up.

Finally, I poured Envirotex on the top after letting the future dry for a week or so. This worked and looked great, until bubbles the size of pinheads formed between the Envirotex and the Future after about two months.  >:(

You may have better luck than me, but you won't find out until it's done for awhile.

I would use Magic Water if I had any still water to do right now.

Hope this helps,

-Phil

The car modelers down at the LHS only use Future now for their gloss coat. Will be interesteing to see how it reacts to multiple layers and how it holds up over time.

Not according to S.C. Johnson's floor care products website:

http://www.floorcareproducts.com/floor-finish/index.asp
I sent an email to customer service and this is what they said:

We're sorry to hear you've had difficulty finding Pledge® Premium Floor Finish with Future® Shine. This has the same great Future® formula, but it's now under the Pledge® name.

This product is still available, but distributors in your area may not be including it in their orders. We recommend you talk with the store manager at a large supermarket or at a Wal-Mart, Kmart or Target store. Retailers are usually interested in carrying the products their customers want.

Another option for you is to order the product directly from us. This is a special service we offer to consumers who can't find one of our products. If you would like to place an order, call 800-848-2588 and ask for item number 00182.

Please let us know if we can help you in any other way. We always appreciate hearing from our consumers.

Melissa

Geez, you'd think a multi-billion dollar corporation like Johnson Wax could afford to update their own website when they change a product name.  ::)
