    Hello to all !
I'm Ernie, Jason Smith (superturbine) called and told me I needed to join this fine forum, so here I am.
I use UP4-8-8-4 on another N forum, but my other oldest screen name is Steam-Monsters on N-Scale.Org where i'm a Moderator.
Been looking around and am very impressed with this forums layout as well as the great threads and posts as well as pics from members.
I've been into N-guage from its first early years in the 60's, have been collecting and running N to present day.
Also have been repairing N as well as custom painting engines and passenger sets for many years.
Jason and I have worked together on some resin cast steamers which I will post pics in the Show Your Steam thread.
And theres others in the works.

Hey!
Being very shy until I get  to know all . I am 63 and retiring in Jan 2013 and wanted to restart my intrest in N gauge . I saw from another forum some entries that point to here so I figured I'd check it out . I started my free lance / UP modeling , Pacific Wide West & Rocky Bar Rail Road was first conceived in 1979 in Corona CA. Its first rail was laid on a 2’x 3’ plywood board in the owner’s garage and served no purpose other than to go round and round on an oval track. In 1981 the line expanded in Long Beach CA to a mining operation and small MOW crew to serve a single engine branch. It used UP track for a time to bring ore to the smelter located some twenty miles from the mine. At this time it owned one FM 10-44 while UP was running steam ( I think ) and a GP of unknown origin ( not bad for a 1940’s rail road ) .
When the line went bankrupt and was moved to Mtn Home Idaho, where the owner was from, the logging operation attempted to compete with Boise Cascade ….Silly people … Needless to say … it went bankrupt again and moved to Sandpoint Idaho in 1989. After licking its wounds and being dormant for nearly 20 years, the owner thinks he hit the lottery and started up the line once again, hopping the creek don’t rise. This time, with a blessing from the Lord , and limited financial support but no practical experience in running a rail road, the owner enlisted the aid of many worthy rail road owners from modeling forums with the hopes that this time …. He may be more successful.
   If you have been issued a pass on the PWW&RB RR, you will need to ride on the log car/s as we do not have passenger cars or caboose’s as of yet. May God bless you and hang on tight!

Been lurking for a while and decided to join. My name is John Kauffman (superduperchief). Kind of a lone wolf modeler. I am currently design/building a large layout 40'x60'. I guess my screen name gives away, I model Santa Fe. Been in the hobby for 35+ years. I was on another forum a couple years ago and dropped off after a move. I look forward to seeing and posting often.

Hi I am Gordon Bliss (Superchief) used to lurk here and on atlas, I am in the Houston Texas area/ Jason/ Superturbine live on the other side of town, Jason was in NSR #58 and i was in NSR #59, I did the photos for both layouts and Jason did a lot of scenery and stem mods for me, I am building a large Santa Fe layout 20 x 30 with a staging/ dispatch area 8 x 13. We operate with 9 operators  and I hope to be posting the layout here. Gordon/ Santa Fe-All the way.

Hi. I am Kevin Chamberlain. I am 47 years old and started in the hobby of N Scale modelling in the mid 1980.s . Since then I was involved in a local N track club for a short while until I moved cities. I then started on a large home layout which never got past the benchwork stage before deciding to move again.
I am now in a new house with my own train room so work on the new layout has begun. I will be modelling the Burlington Northern set in the Seattle area in 1994 before the merger that formed the BNSF. I am choosing Seattle because it will give my layout a geograpical location and a purpose. It will also allow me to model the type of industries that I would like to see on my layout ( Container Port, Shore to ship Grain Facility, Yard for switching as well as an industrial park ). As I progress with the layout building I will post updates. as well as follow everyone else's progress.

Hi folks.

I'm John Colombo, modeling the NKP in 1957.  Lots of Berkshires, Mikes, early Geeps and Alcos on a basement layout in a 30 x 14' room.   Also a member of Trainboard, but I've been checking out other forums since the Atlas forum closed.  Here's an example of my modeling work via a video on YouTube showing my old bedroom layout (now torn down):

Am new to this forum was on the atlas as a lurker didnot post at all been in railroad for about 60 some years. a very good friend told me about this forum decided to try it model n-scale and some horabely oversized some times.

Hi, everyone.  I just discovered this site a couple of days ago and decided to join.  I'm also on ModelRailroadForums and occasionally on Trainboard.  My first N scale equipment was bought in 1970 and I've been hooked ever since.  However, the last time I had a layout was in 1989.  Now I'm starting over with new locos and DCC.  A lot has changed in the time that I was absent from the hobby and most of it has been for the best.  I will be modeling the Burlington mid to late 60's but there WILL NOT be any pre-merger green to be found anywhere!  I look forward to spending time here and learning the "new way" of doing things.
