Okay, guys and gals, what have y'all been up to, aside from photoshopping Tom Mann into all sorts of hilarious shots. Speaking of Tom, wonder if he's a papa yet?

Not much done here, still fiddling with stuff to see what's ready to go to Dothan next month.

Let's see some non-Photoshopped, railroad-related photos of what you've done or seen.  ;)

Well, I went to the CRHS summer BBQ yesterday, and it was awesome.

I'm proud to be part of that organization.

Anyway, I printed out some photos to take with me. I think they're all originals (not posted here before).

Here are the digital versions:

Ed- that grass looks awesome.  Is that Silflor?

Yes, that field is Silflor with dirt sprinkled on it.

I'm actually not that in love with it, since I feel that the grass is too tall for N.

It does make for a good cut field though.

Ed, great shots!

And for me, I got some time to futz around with manual focus and Helicon.

An improvement over my previous photos (although
I forgot to light the headlights).

Here's the previous shots, for comparison:

Got some paint details done on Kato N scale Santa Fe
C44-9Ws.  Added yellow handrails, red anticlimber, red
walkways, black paint in the nose door window, and some
light weathering:

Closeup of the nose:

See some of you in Hartford next week;  I'll be there for the
Saturday night banquet and Sunday morning breakfast.  :-)

Have a good week!

That Atlas house messes up the second-to-last shot, Ed. ;)  :'(

But 5 and 6, WOW. You're making me fall in love with ConRail.   :o

Must resist... Jenks Blue is better... and especially Eagle Blue...  ;D ;D

John, your shots bring back the good ol' days of Warbonnets! That ballasting still amazes me.

Here is the DC-2 . Thanks to Bobcat for urging me to try to use better small loco wheels than the Z wheels I originally had on it , so it can actually run , and 3rdrail for suggesting me to try the Bachmann 4-4-0 pilot or tender wheels (I used the tender wheels) I now runs very well , I got the slop out of the wheels so they don't wobble like a shopping cart , and slotted the bolster which caused the need to thin the gas tanks for greater truck side play . It derails on the double crossover at the diamond pretty often , but I think it would be fine on a crossover . I am calling it done , and am happy I can take it on the main (if I had one).

That DC-2 looks *great*!  I waiting for a B&O to arrive any day now... And, Ed, ... WOW.

Tablework, roadbed, beginning wiring, and playing with foam (got a huge pile of free 2'x8'x1" ext. blue stuff - as much as I could put in/on my explorer) with some minor procedural changes thanks to diezmon's thread...

I didn't think the learning curve would be this steep after just a few years away from the hobby  :o

Ed , your photography and layout improves and improves . That stone bridge looks very real being that dark , we don't see that modeled in that color , yet it is much more common in the real world .

Great job on the detector car Richie, an unusual car that's an eye-popper when you look closely.

Tom Mann, who's got more hair atop their head, you or your newborn???  ;D ;D
