Atlantic was one of the earliest B&O main line locomotives, looking like nothing that succeeded it:
When 2-6-0 Mogul No. 600 was exhibited at the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1876, it was the heaviest locomotive constructed up to that time:
B&O Consolidation No. 545 was the latest in heavy freight power - in the 1880's!:
