Some more photos taken at the B&O Museum in Baltimore about 52 years ago.

The "grasshopper" type 0-4-0 Atlantic was one of the earliest B&O main line locomotives, looking like nothing that succeeded it:

When 2-6-0 Mogul No. 600 was exhibited at the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1876, it was the heaviest locomotive constructed up to that time:

B&O Consolidation No. 545 was the latest in heavy freight power - in the 1880's!:

Next week, the last of the B&O museum.

I got a chance to ride in this North Shore Line car at the Fox River Valley Museum near Chicago.

Here is the view looking out the front onto original tracks:

Cool ads Chris.  There really was life in Y-town at one time.  ;)

A couple of Ohio short lines.

The Ashtabula, Carson & Jefferson.  Former PRR trackage I think.  (My references are packed  :()  Ran some weekend excursions for a while.  Not sure if they even exist today.

The Akron Barberton Belt is now the Akron Barberton Cluster and run by the W&LE folks.  A good bit of the trackage is abandoned.

My first ride on the Strasburg RR, even though I`ve lived most of my life in PA. I different perspective of #31

You`ll never find a Philly cheese steak on a menu in Philadelphia. It`s called a cheesesteak and we all know where it`s from...
