A few bigger trees definitely would be nice. So, I'll be the first one today ...

Where are today's trees?  ::)

Another question, the ground cover. Is that commercially available yet or do you still have those secret rendezvous in smoke filled rooms to get yours?

No trees yesterday, was out railfanning.

The groundcover: nothing in that scene is commercially available, but it's all FREELY available.

The leaf litter is all real leaves. This stuff was ground up by Rockingham Junction models, but it's just leaves + water + blender.

The dirt is all real dirt from the banks of the Susquehanna river.

The ballast is actually dirt from a Florida parking lot.

Lee would be so proud of me!

Just checking in: more trees done tonight, but nothing really photo-worthy yet.

I think I may.

I'm getting sorta low. In fact, the one hill was covered in my backup stuff from Hunter (I think). It does an OK job in the background, but around the tracks nothing quite matches the stuff you did. (BTW, it's the fine stuff I'm running low on).

When are you going to make the commercially available? I'd be all about giving you a major plug on the site.

Now that I can see the ground up here I'm going to get cracking on making more. After the first week of June my schedule opens up.

Are you going to give up on winter now that Mindheim is tearing up his Monon layout?

Watercooler talk...  I hear the sawsall is already out.  :o

Sounds like the plan is to make a bigger version of the Miami switching layout, in HO.

That's cool. That thing is also really cool.

Too bad he's going CSX though, the FEC has so much more character down in that neck of the woods.

Sucks we're losing him to HO. Oh well, he'll be back.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I'd really appreciate if you all were on my butt if I don't show off more trees or indicate progress.

I feel like the hive prodding will help me plow through it.

I just thought, for fun, I would open this can of worms back up and , well, prod Ed to make some trees.

I've decided to start a new program: every night I need to make a batch of trees. It's amazing what just a few will do.

The area above the locomotive here was bare wall yesterday. It's far from "good" but I think it's definitely progress.

IS it me or the camera angle but that locomotive sure looks like it is leaning to the left.  Maybe the track has a left tilt to it.

Looks great, and keep "super-elevation" in mind. Makes a big difference, and no operating problems. You've got a great program going with the trees.

I will try to get this on my daily "to do" list.
A "western modeler" that also runs NS.
