I do have one WP boxcar, purchased in Antioch, CA (actually on the Santa Fe, but who needs any more of THEM!) back in the 80's when my brother lived there.  I don't know if the hobby store is still there or not.

I'll have to make sure it makes a token appearance in a future video...!

And Iain, the last punk that talked to me that way would have been 22 yesterday...
(Oh Cripe!  We're starting to sound like Skibbe and Robbman!!  Next we'll have Tom Mann and Ed wrestling in cream corn!) :-X

Really, really, liked that Lee.  Your speed seems just about appropriate, too.

I've got a collection of Green Frog videos (Gulash collection) where they dubbed the sound in over top of the silent video, and really did a pretty decent job.  It's amazing how much that adds.  You KNOW that sound wasn't recorded then, but you completely forget it.   

Years ago (pre MT wheels) I tinkered with an audiotape of my layout, using just a casette player and a sensitive mike right next to the rails.  Just with metal wheels, sectional track and some rather noisy Trix F-units, the end result was amazing.  If you distorted it to put some bass in it, you would have sworn it was a real train.   I know my Kato SD45's have a particular run speed that produces something that vaguely produces turbo whine, too!

The other cool thing I've seen done is to simply put a tape of bluegrass music over top... I'll never forget the first time I saw a video/slideshow of Cass' shays running by with "Dueling Banjos" as the theme.
