N Scale Atlas / Micro Ace 2-6-0 parts?

I probably know the answer already but has anybody got a line on a replacement motor either OEM or something that will fit in a MicroAce 2-6-0? I have come across one that the brushes are just about gone and the com is all gummed up and refuses to clean up. I have a message in to Atlas but I doubt they have anything that old lying around. Haven't seen Micro Ace equipment in so long, never did find one of the 0-6-6-0 loco's.

Tony, is it the same motor that's in the Atlas / Micro Ace 4-4-0? A picture of the motor would be good.

It is not the same as the 4-4-0. The motor is a very short 5 pole, fits in the cab, roughly 10x10x10 cube with a long shaft. There is a picture on Spookshow's site.

I think the Nigel Lawton 10x12 motor will fit.

Think I may have found a solution. This is a motor out of an RC servo. 10 mm (8 mm flats) x 14 mm w/ 1mm shaft. Just wish the shaft was longer. Going to need to be creative to mount the worm.

Bit of tube and some Loctite 603? If both shafts are 1mm, cut the worm and a bit of the shaft off the old motor, then affix it carefully to the new one. You'll need some 1mm ID tube, but that's available.
