Thanks. While all of my diamonds are only for show; i.e., only one route is active and the other is just for the scene, I do have a lot of them. On the current layout, I have four at Blue Island, 10 at Dolton, four at Hohman Ave, two at Graselli, four at Calumet, and three at CP 502. And actually I have sixteen that didn't make my current design at Brighton Park and Ash Street.

I've never heard this before but I've used a mixture of Elmer's school and regular white glue for scenery, cork, track, and ballast among other things and haven't had a single issue. And my Blue Island section is going on 10 years with five cross country moves.

I hope whoever told you not to use white glue also dosnt sell you something else I mix it roughly 50/50 depending on the application (and use it full strength for various scenery tasks) and wouldn't even consider using anything else. Plus the bulk containers are CHEAP.

White glue - PVA - is not school glue. Similar consistancies but different formulas.

Searched Google for "Chicago model railroad" and this thread popped up.  Really like your work on Blue Island.  Been watching that railcam quite a bit the past week.  Does this layout still exist?
