The finished set up and some cuts in .040 styrene.  The top piece in the first photo is what happens without the air assist on and the bottom piece is with the air assist on.
The bottom was done with 100% power and 250 mm/sec and two passes.  After the cuts on the bottom piece the cutouts just fell out of the piece of styrene.
I haven't done a test pattern with styrene yet to get a good idea of power and speed for cutting and engraving.  Oh and never ever ever try to cut materials that you are
not 100% sure of what they are made of.  Some materials especially plastics can give off deadly gasses.  PVC for instance can give off Chlorine and Hydrogen Cyanide.
