Ethanol (in terms of Ethanol being transported out of the midwest).. is 97% Corn based Alcohol - 3% Gasoline.. 

So a 30,000 gallon car is 29,200 gallons pure Alcohol, 800 gallons gasoline.

It would be drinkable if not for the hint of gasoline.

So.. it's hazardous.. but not like like the stuff in Ohio.. and not like Methanol..

And even more bad news for BNSF. Judge says the railroad has been trespassing by running 100-car unit oil trains in violation of an easement agreement with a tribe.

Yeah, denatured alcohol is one of those goofy quirks that only makes sense in specific ways.  It's that whole if-this-were-drinkable,-it'd-be-taxed-at-higher-rates,-so-let's-dump-some-poison-in-it-so-it's-cheaper thing.  My brain is fried, so I can't come up with any affiliated wisecrack about booze.  But hey, booze is delicious, so maybe it's fine.
