Got loco the other day. Front coupler was disassembled, but mounting screw was in place. Weird. Rear cab headlight part had fallen off too. Some CA to fix that, when new eyeglasses come in.
 But what is that big "grab iron", just below the radiator?

There are several proto photos of the "grab iron" below the radiator. Looks to be road specific. I couldn't find a reason for it, but my bet is that I requires operators to walk around the radiator perhaps to prevent burns?
