New Project, HOn3 Billmeyer and Smalls D&RG 4 Wheel Box Car

A gentleman reached out to me asking if it was possible to make a model of the early Billmeyer and Smalls cars used during construction of the D&RG. He requested that it be as accurate as possible, right down to the link and pin couplers.

Well, I think it came out pretty decent, obnoxiously tiny coupler pins included. Only downside is 20" HOn3 Wheel sets dont seem to exist anywhere, short of modifying something from N scale

I'd be more inclined to sell a print than the model. Would you be interested in one in HOn30?

Yes I'd take 2. Did you print the grab irons?

Yes! Grab irons are printed, and once UV cured they hold up pretty well! if they were to fail its not big issues to replace with wire.

These are printed on my anycubic photon, its been upgraded with a dual axis Z slider, and using black anycubic resin

Chris. do you have a specific N scale wheel set you use? I'll probably pull some dimensions from Kadee and adjust mine accordingly

I use Fox Valley Models 36" N scale metal wheels for HOn30. I use the same axle length as Micro Trains .540"
