I've got an extra Pleasure Dome car squirreled away in the Wabash box too, thinking if I have to remove fluting, that's just as easy on the Kato as the old Rowa, and you get a full height dome out of it.

I should finish that Blue Bird dome obs shell sometime too.
If that is the same Blue Bird dome obs that you and Bill Denton were talking about casting, then yes, you should finish that, lol.  Be sure to make enough for everybody.

I set the whole Blue Bird project aside a couple years ago when I had major paint problems.  Time to pull that box off the shelf....

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

If only,.......Kato had produced the Train of Tomorrow as I have suggested a few times. I know the E7 and the cars are unique but it travelled over many roads and ended up being painted UNION PACIFIC, that unpopular road !

Mike,

Please make an extra Wabash 1601 shell!!!!  I have pictures of how it looks now.  Different but still recognizable inside and out.

By the way how has anyone handled Wabash 650, and the Blue Bird diner.  I believe the diner has extra windows.

Thank you for allowing a little thread drift.

Thank you,
Bobster

:) Just thought a couple of photos were needed to show what MiniTrix shorties looked like.  The two coaches (Santa Fe and B&O) are original MiniTrix made in Western Germany.  The two dome coaches are Model Power (using same tooling) made in China.  The MiniTrix have plastic wheels while the identical Model Power ones have metal wheels.  Yes, they are undersize, but run nicely on the tight radius track that they were designed for.
