Shizuoka in Spring - a Z shorty micro layout

Looks like Japan (& Shizuoka in particular) left a lasting impression on you.
The Trainini article is  great - I enjoyed both the detailed description of your layout & the copious amount of pages devoted to that funky rail bus.......It’s a great big modeling world out there.

Watching the video I do have to point out it looks like the rail bus is drifting the curves as to goes around.  I am sure its an artifact for speed and radius, but it amused me.

And clearly, everyone has room for a layout.

Well done Chris! Even your photography is excellent.

I had the pleasure of attending the Shizuoka Hobby Show, in 2005. I also visited Tamiya's headquarters, and Rainbow Ten hobby shop among other attractions.  It was one of the highlights of my life, and I will never forget that experience.

Thank you all for your very kind comments! I'm chuffed. Just to say that I had tremendous fun putting this little thing together. It even received approval from the family and has been allowed a permanent place in the living room; my biggest success in the hobby so far.

It does indeed look a bit like it's drifting. At 45mm, the radius is extremely tight.

It's like a Haiku of a layout. Really cool!

I like the Haiku analogy!
