we rode from NY to Albany in February and we saw that same set sitting on a siding wasting away....

We rode the turbo from Montreal to Albany and had to wait til evening to catch the Lakeshore to Chicago.

A little CP action on April 11th in St Paul, and some interesting rolling stock:



Plate steel, probably from Iowa. Good reference for modeling loads.



CP is spending the big bucks on these repaints!



I've been collecting interesting graffiti for future weathering projects.



Sometimes the train sneaks up on you- not the best, but I do like the shot,

On 29 December 1989, Australian National narrow gauge (3'6") Alco's DL531s 850/872/865 restart their train after stopping at Wanilla to pick up a train order with their loaded grain train from Kimba to Port Lincoln, South Australia. It is almost a year now since these rails fell silent with the loss of all grain traffic to road.
