It’s not often you can get all the trackage for a shortline railroad in one close overhead shot. If you like covered hopper cars, this is a prototype railroad you can model.

That’s a lot of covered hoppers!!
The question is Carl,,,do you have that many covered hoppers? .lol :D

They do frac sand, and I think in the past they also ran pipe through there. I think their power is 1 or 2 SD40-2's and an SDP40.

So if you like 6 axle power, and tons of 2 bay ACF or Trinity hoppers, this line is for you!

Just go to google earth. It’s located southwest of San Antonio, Texas on I-35.

If you want a little more variety, here’s an oil tanker, open hopper, closed hopper & pipe load facility just west of Honda, Texas. Plus it’s even got an oval track for continuous run at a train show.  :D

And you can build it it scale in 10x30 feet :D
