Gulf Mobile and Ohio - Gulf Coast Layout

This is my current layout. The door is at bottom right hand side and windows of left wall. Currently I can walk around the left side. I will be rotating it 90 degrees to the right this weekend and against the left wall. And will be starting a Logging operation along the right wall. Will determine size once everything is shifted. I can have two trains operating on continuous running , one in the town area , another around the whole layout. The yard can be switched as well as industry near the yard without interference . By using block switching the Town area can be switched while dodging a Running train in this area . This is a D.C. layout and have no intention of going DCC.

In the first picture the Passenger Terminal does not exist. So here is how things will look after shifting things around.

Started Logging Expansion.

Well I have decided that more trackage and trees are required for my logging area. And at the same time make room for a sawmill and associated structures. So the 13"x 6' that is currently the logging area will become the Saw Mill. The Logging will be raised 16 - 18 inches and become a second unattached Layout. I will also add at the other end a area for Louisiana Eastern railroad and Associated Gravel Industry. I will add links to the Louisiana eastern story in the comments. The Louisiana Eastern rostered 27 Steam Locomotives and ran a excursion train on Sundays. Paulson Spence had planned a Museum with some of thes Engines and this will be represented as well. Many of these Engines came from Railroads I model so the Museum will have them shown in Paint not of Louisiana Eastern Scheme but I.C. or G.M.&O ect.  Well I have decided that more trackage and trees are required for my logging area. Haven't posted a up date in a while. Have a good start on my backdrop. Facia is installed need to counter sink the screws and get control panels built. Will be adding a second unconnected level for my logging operation at some point
