Absolutely none of those drawings are a "Darth Vader" signal head.

Any one of the above signals can be a "darth vader" signal head if the shape of the target(s) and hood(s) are changed.

Not really. Modern "Vaders" are typically on 24" targets. The C&O drawings John linked show 35" targets, and the hoods themselves of that era (UP and Canadian roads) have different proportions, too. It also needs to be said that pre-modern signal practices varied widely between railroads, and dimensional data and installation practices for a specific road really only apply to that road. Certain things are common-ish depending on signal manufacturer (and there were several), but variances in actual use are (were) significant.

Drawings for modern hood-type signals exist somewhere obviously, but apparently not easily found online. I've looked.

You lookin' for modern Darth Vaders or transition era ones that lasted until last year on the U.P.??

I have official U.P. drawings for the transition era ones, as well as a library of photos I've taken of 'em before they came down if you're looking for the original 40's and 50's ones.

Cheerio!

They're a little large because those aren't to-scale signals, they're a nicely artistic use of the Digitrax SMBK approximation with a 3rd-party etched kit to make them look reasonable. There are also a couple of Shapeways vendors offering hooded targets to use with the SMBK.
