Really nice, Dave!  Interesting technique with great results.  Better late than never (updating).

I'm late to the thread. This past Saturday, I was in Myrtle Beach with my family. I stopped by the MB Mall to see the local club's layouts. There are decent N, HO, and O layouts for the Grand Strand Western's club. None of my photos are interesting enough to share. What I did think was interesting is they have leased out a storefront inside a dying mall, despite having strong anchor stores (Bass Pro, Belk). They themselves have become a draw for the mall averaging several hundred visitors each day they're open. They collect enough donations to pay the lease and improve the layouts.
No farms, no food. Support your local farmer's market!

If you were there in the afternoon, I may have met you.  Thanks for the mention.  We've had over 200,000 visitors in the seven years we've been there. Expenses are covered by donations AND dues.  The mall has continued to have numerous vacancies over the four years I've been a member, but we prefer "struggling" to "dying."  :)
