Agreed. Bachmann has always struggled with good hood doors. From those things all the way to the new NW2s
The hood doors aren't too bad in the 2003 version. Yes they are "carved into" the shell instead of laid on top, but this was the way that GE actually attached engine doors on these models, with a much more visible panel gap than EMD engines.
The issue I have was the underdeveloped radiator grills along the side. They look like a rough in without any of the finish work.... Sides not totally straight. Grids too narrow. Slats too shallow. Etc.
Both the GE and NS engines seem to have a Conrail cab. Did they use the correct numbers?
