Tender Deck Water Spills

Can someone advise as to what product you use to simulate spilled water on tender decks?  I've seen "Future" referenced on a couple posts, but I don't know what that is, and Googling "Future" is somewhat futile.

Thanks,

Bruce

A few dabs of acrylic gloss medium should do the trick.  The nice thing about it is also that it's easy to remove if it doesn't come out the way you want it.  A little Mod Podge might work too.

Future is a floor wax made by SC Johnson.  It's packaging/labeling has since changed.

And the old standby site is back online. http://www.swannysmodels.com/TheCompleteFuture.html My go-to place for Future Floor Finish, or whatever name they are now using for it.

I use Future (now called Pledge Floor Gloss) because it is acrylic already thinned to just the right consistency. You can use any gloss medium - acrylic or enamel, but those you will have to thin to get the right effect.

I'll take all the credit for telling Doug to use Future, I think?

I used it it with some subtlety on my K4s as you can see below, but there's pics of tenders that look 2 tone because water overflowed and dripped down vertically over the sides.

Also I saw that the stuff changed its name yet again. I don't think the Swanny page updated it yet.

It is all your fault (you yung ones now running the world).  Future was Future for decades but after all the Gen-Ys and Millennials took started running things they had to change the name 3 times within just few years!  :P  :)

I guess the future finally caught up with the Future.

Speaking of which, @peteski, you would enjoy this. Watch it to the end.

Ah, a familiar tall, dark, heavy-breathing figure in the video and in the credits.   That was entertaining.  You now got me wondering if the Future Floor Finish really is a fuel for a time machine, disguised as a floor coating.   They keep changing the name to confuse the time travelers who run out of the time-shifting juice.  :)
