Not really.  Same prices as previously announced GP38 and C628/630 models.  And the DCC/no sound is actually $20 less than last announced SD7/9 models back in February

GP-39 MSRP $139.95
SD-35 MSRP $124.95
SD-7 MSRP $124.95
C-630 MSRP $129.95

My statement was made with the assumption that the 39 had a decoder installed.  So in that vain, I'm wrong.  But the 39-2 is a new model, so that might be part of the increase in price as well.  Though I will admit I'm not sure how much different the tooling is from the 38/40 etc series.  You're also paying for the speaker already installed that we talked about in earlier threads.

I just listed some pricing for reference. It’s all good. The 39 is pretty limited in the number of roadnames available so I wonder how that factors into the pricing.  Kind of like the price bump for a Kato E5 vs E8/9.

Chomping at the bit for the GP39-2's.  All are right for my era too.  Haven't decided on getting sound units or installing Digitrax SFX decoders.   Now if we can just get someone to make CF-7's and GP40X's in N scale...
