On a cleaner note, my trucks shipped today for delivery by the weekend, and my welding buddy and I plan to get together Saturday to see what we can stick together.

To give you an idea of the weight of this stuff, the shipping weight of 2 trucks is 55 lbs.

That would be easy enough to do Tom. 2 or 3 log cars (which could be easily built out of easily available steel box channel) and a plum cove electric box cab(http://www.plumcovestudios.com/electro_01.html). That would get you going quick and easy, but I have the feeling it wouldn't stay small.... lol

Got some work done on the caboose. The trucks arrived so I took the frame, drilled it out and my friend Will and I welded on the bolster plates and bolted it up. Another guy has drawings in cad already for a similar model, so he's adapted them for this one and they should be cut in 2 weeks. Are you getting these water jet cut, laser cut, plasma cut, or hand cutting them?

The height dimension is there....

The pieces will be plasma cut. I wanted to water jet, but the only place around here isn't interested in small jobs.

I think @Lemosteam meant a dimension to locate the window vertically relative to the bottom edge or some other datum.

Cool, if they have the capability to read the drawing into the machine- you might not need dimensions at all!
