Yes, do I start a Gallery by uploading pictures to that?  What about the pictures I already have in the TRW Gallery?  Can I move them, or should I delete and re-upload (at the risk of breaking links in threads)?

If you click the edit link under a photo you have in the Main Gallery you should see an option to move it to a User Gallery.  Then, you can pick your Gallery/Category.

I guess I don't see where the option is to do this.
If I go to my images, I see the 4 that I have there, in the general category but if I select [edit] beneath one of them, I don't see a mechanism to move it to my just created gallery.  I think the option is "general" or "wud images".
What is "wud images"?

If I click the [edit] link beneath one of my photos in the general gallery, I do not see what you just posted, no.

LIke others I don't have the "move picture" option visible.

To be honest, the entire gallery human interface is quite awkward and not intuitive. At least compared to how the photo sharing site liek Photobucket worked.   But it is much better than no gallery at all.  :) Plus there is a huge benefit of the pictures always being there for as long as TRW is around.

It took me a while to figure out how the user gallery works and that is is on a separate level from the top level galleries (General and WUD).  I also see that the photos I put in my gallery still show up under my images

I haven't tried the bulk upload because I don't know what will happen with the file names or descriptions.  Like I asked before, it would be nice to have the original file names of the photos included in the new name created on TRW. It might also be useful for bulk uploads to put the original file name in the photos Title field. Especially for bulk uploads.

Also what would be extremely handy is to be able to see the photo titles in the thumbnail views instead of the other things now showing up there (like whether the photo was approved, or the file size).

Also, please change the name of WUD to Weekend Update - this silly acronym seems to generate so much confusion!

Testing the one-stop image uploading:

Great - it works as expected.  GUI is still a bit obscure, but straightforward enough, once you get the hang of it.

Nice, Tom!

Yes, the GUI isn't the greatest.  I will improve some things about it over time.

@tom mann ,

Can a person share from say, google images or an album there directly into the user gallery?

That would be a great way to push images to the gallery without having to download the images first, especially if you are on a device or a different machine than the one it is stored on.

No, sorry. That would be nice though.
