Programming Zimo MX622

Anybody here have some experience with remapping a MX622 decoder? I've been trying to get flashing ditch lights on both sides of a locomotive but for some reason I can't seem to tie the functions together as the manual CV/bit charts show. I have already changed the SUSI interface over to logic level outputs but I also seem to be unable to control FA4 as its always on.

All I'm trying to do is:

F1- Both front ditch lights
F2- Front flash
F3- Both rear ditch
F4- Rear flash

Thanks in advance!

I use ZIMO decoders but haven't attempted what you are doing (just more basic stuff). I recommend joining the ZIMO Yahoo group.  Both the manufacturer and users participate there and they are usually very helpful.

Do you want the ditch lights to be activated independently whether they are both on, or flashing?  Or simply have the directional lights come on with the directional headlamp, and then flash when F2 is pressed (as if the horn is blown for a grade crossing)?  Not sure how to do the former (what you specifically request)

I think (don't have a Zimo decoder to test this with right now) that for the latter, the following CVs would work.  Assumptions are FO1 = front left; FO2 = front right; FO3 is rear left; FO4 is rear right

CV33 = 13 (  F0(f) controls all three forward lights)
CV34 = 50 (  F0(r) controls all three rear lights)
CV35-38 = 0 (F1-F4 do not directly control function ouptputs)
CV107 = 64 (F2 turns on forward special lighting - while pressed)
CV108 = 64 (F2 turns on reverse special lighting - while pressed)
CV127 = 37  FO1 ditch light type 1 forward left
CV128 = 33  FO2 ditch light type 1 forward right
CV129 = 38  FO3 ditch light type 1 reverse left
CV130 = 34  FO4 ditch light type 1 reverse right

I've used the manual and DecoderPro to select the options and CV values -- all correlate.  Sorry I cannot test to verify that this works as I think it should
