I've got about a half dozen Athearn NACC 50' box cars. Can anyone tell me when they first appeared?
Thanks.
Hmm... some time during
the 19th century...?

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

Early to mid 1960's depending on the specific prototype. lots of 1964/1965 build dates.
I believe the Smooth side cars predate the rib sides by a little bit.
