I have tried to make my own decals before with limited success. The ink would run when applying the protective coat and again when using Micro-Sol. The end result was a very sloppy looking logo with colors bleeding everywhere on the model.
I now have access to a color laser at work, and would like to do some basic decals such as reporting marks and color logos reduced from corporate clip art. The models will either be gray, silver or white and the decals will be dark red, black or dark blue.
Does anyone have a preferred laser decal paper? Do these hold up better than inkjet? Do you need a protective coat? How do they settle down compared to commercial decals?
