I took this in New Orleans area a few weeks back. That region seems to be the Land of Industrial Locomotives. This was as close as I could get without walking across someone's front lawn.

Arrived at the grade crossing a little late for this one.  Engines were at the next street.  Gettysburg's parking garage is the backdrop.

Got two shots of graffiti I may try my hand at if I can get the appropriate cars.

I was going through some photos this morning, and I stumbled across this picture this morning.  We were visiting the in-laws in Cheyenne, WY, and I stumbled upon the location where the BNSF crosses over the UP.  I was just in awe with turbine blades on the flatcar.  I also found a picture from a few years back of a East Penn GP38-2 after their lease began while stopped at a crossing in Northern Delaware.  I would love to see Atlas choose this as a paint scheme for a future GP38-2 release.

Thanks,
Adam

Yes, that would be awesome to have on the layout. Nice catch!

That's a nice scheme.  Coincidentally, one week ago, I was driving through Avondale, Pennsylvania, which is only about eight or ten miles from our home in northern Delaware, and I spied the East Penn RR U23B #2206.  It, unfortunately, is not wearing such a nice paint job.

EDIT: Oh, and I think I found out why it's not as pretty.  I just read that No. 2206 has been sold and is being sent to Mexico.  Say goodbye to another U-Boat.  :(

There is something about the U23B that I really enjoy as short line power in its second life.  The U23B and Alco C-420 are probably my favorite non-EMD units.  A while back, I scored an Atlas N-Scale Reading Blue Mountain Northern U23B off of eBay, and I've been happy with it ever since.  I'll be looking forward to when Atlas re-releases the Conrail paint scheme with the U23B.

Thanks,
Adam

Since it was mentioned, here's an image of the 2206 by Paul Koprowski on rrpicturearchives.net:

Not sure if you could find it now, but Atlas did release it...
