Load for ESM Well flat car

I posted on another thread ( https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=36126.0 page 4) that I planned to make a load of a ship's propeller.  So I went down to my local RC boat shop and was unable to find a 4 bladed prop.  Only 3 bladed. And it did not look very prototypical.  Then I searched the web for model boat propellers and got junk.  Can anyone help?  Do you model boats and have a source in mind?

Thanks in advance.

Tom

I know you already found what you were looking for, but still I'd like to post this find. Stony Smith on Shapeways has one: https://www.shapeways.com/product/NULPH9JBV/propeller-load-for-flat-car-nscale

Haven't dealt with these guys, but they look like a US source...

Keep in mind that while metal loads will increase the overall weight of the model, they also will raise the center of gravity on the model.  The reason the ½-oz model tracks so well anywhere in a freight consist is because the center of gravity roughly is between the trucks rather than above them.  Light plastic loads, or solid resin loads that sit directly on the well floor, would work best regarding model performance.

Good point. The "Harbor Models" folks also sell plastic (v/s brass) props, but they appear to be too large to be useful.

The search continues...   Best, Harry

At least I now have an idea of how to block the load.

Alternate lettering scheme on the D&H car. Nice.
