I didn't get much train stuff done this week, I've been too busy enjoying my new ride.

Welcome to the F150 club. You should pop on over here <http://www.f150forum.com/>

Congrads man! I got almost the same truck!! I love mine!

Seems the F150 is popular with the RW crowd. Here's my 2010 Mobile Railfanning Command & Support Vehicle

This is from my last outing to the CN Halton Sub.

Good looking trucks Mike and Drew. I switched from a Silverado and so happy I did.

My old ConCor RDCs have returned home after being decaled for their home road by Ntrainz1. The commuters are thrilled to see them back.

This weekend I finally managed to finish some stuff I have been working on or that were in my to-do box. I have designed a lot of stuff and had it printed via Shapeways. It takes time to paint it all... :)
I am pretty chuffed with how my fuel, oil and lubricants area of my maintenance facility is taking shape with my tank farm, IBC's and drums:

My test run of the concrete ties loads, I am not sure wether I should make the fastenings brown:

In the back you can see my cable reels, diesel generator and in the far back my train maintenance platform

I did get some decals applied to NS 3804. I need to start working on the MT4 slug I want to pair with it.

From what I remember MT4s where usualy only with 4 axle engines. the SD38s I saw usualy had a MT6
Your layouts nice, but it needs more Conrail !

Erik:  We could use one of those hand forklifts at my 1:1 employer.  We have the big ones, and pallet jacks, but something in between would be very handy

I've found a few photos of SD38s with MT4s. I have a non-working RS11 anyways that I have no use for anyways. I'll probably build a MT6 at some point as well.

Go talk to Preiser. Maybe they'll make a 1:1 for you?

I'd imagine that someone already makes them.  The problem is that my employer is too cheap to BUY stuff, until production is so far behind that they have to run overtime to keep from losing the contracts.  Then they'll buy just enough new equipment to survive.  They seem to like lurching from one crisis to another.

Fortunately, I'm on a production line that nobody seems to like.  It is supposed to have two people, but often runs with just me, seldom breaks down, the customer schedules orders six months in advance, and the line can keep up with demand.  AND, it's one of only two lines in the plant that's air conditioned, and in a clean room, where the supervisors hate to go, because they have to wear lab coats and hair nets.  I like working by myself, so everyone is happy.  Let the other have their crowded lines with all of their problems, where they can gossip instead of working, because the machines keep breaking!

Another HO scratchbuild. Found this garage I liked:
http://www.master-creations.com/1415.htm
But didn't like the $80 price tag. So I made one out of parts box scraps:

The missing door and window are in the mail, about $6 spent.
