GP39/Hood doors

First post in awhile since i've migrated over to the facebook domain.  I'm working on a CSX GP39 bash and I was planning on almost completely replacing the doors with BLMA doors.  Has anyone done this/used them and achieved good results?  Is there a way to etch the correct door/latch arrangement (the blma set is "good enough"). 

Does anyone do photo etching?

If you have the ability to create your own vector drawings, you can contract any number of etching houses to produce parts for you economically.
