Anyone familiar with Kato N 2017-1 C62 4-6-4 Steam Engine? Is it decoder ready/ decoder friendly? Pulling power?

Kato Steam Locomotives are not decoder friendly unless Kato has revised the model recently. My C 62 will pull 30 cars, this is on level track I have not operated it on my branch line grade. Nate Goodman (Nato). Salt Lake, Utah.

The C-62 (
http://www.katomodels.com/n/c62/
) locomotives were redesigned several years ago. The Kato custom shop lists Digitrax DN123K3 for 2019-1 and 2019-2. The website and the instructions with the 2017 locomotives don't list a specific decoder. I have no problems pulling the 12 car Niseko set, but haven't tried anything longer.
