Pt. St. Charles Van photo's

Credit Valley Railway released a photo of painted samples of the Prairie Shadows upcoming CN Point St. Charles vans..... from the photo these look really nice.....even "Puddy the CN hater" has reserved one to trail the few CN cocnsists that detour onto the superior and always in service Puddington Valley Sub when the CN's tracks wash out (a usual occurance)............

Still on schedule for this fall, so they say.
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Worst that could happen is vaporware, which is unlikely given the above samples. No deposits were taken by Prairie Shadows unlike CMT.

Loving them.  The red is a bit off, but nothing that can't be toned down and made more "orange".

Puddy, these will look fine at the bottom of the washout!

Considering that Prairie Shadows didn't require a downpayment to reserve, I'd say the chance are nil.

Pud, don't feel bad.  I ordered one to Bad Order on my caboose storage track.  These never saw the light of day down south but this is a sweet model.

The HO situation is very different than Prairie Shadows so I have no concerns about getting screwed.... My only comment at second glance is that the end handrails seem much thicker than the side hand rails... I assume that is a function of molding the end piece as one cast as opposed to the free standing detail on the side. Not a game breaker by any means but i wonder if they could look at that - I'll e-mail Jason and ask.

Any possibility that the end bars are thicker because they double as crash bars? Nice looking cars but I have to admit I'm glad I don't do Canadian because I would have to have at least one. :D

What's molded into that end railing piece that's messing up the 'CN' so badly?  From this angle it really looks awful.

Chain from brakewheel and air line piping.

I like that the smaller, inner windows on the sides are absent from the international service van... just like the prototype series.

Not correct...

Those smaller windows only appear on ONE SIDE of ALL of the CN-built vans.

Needs more brooms.
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

LOL.  I fondly remember the brooms from the locos too.  Must be some rule violation...
