I picked up three hospital rolling medicine carts all with locks.
The first one is solid aluminum and has one large cabinet on each side with two shelves, the other two sides has seven deep drawers that can stack engines two deep. I keep this one full of engines in the cases they came in.
These other two have removable drawer sections with top handles and single locks besides the main drawer locks to the cabinets.
The first one has a cabinet on each end with two shelves and four 14 drawer single cabinets.
The second one has one end cabinet with two shelves and four 16 drawer single cabinets that also has top handles and locks besides the main drawer locks to the cabinet.
In the first one I have more engines and quite a many passenger sets.
The second has more engines and tons of freight cars that aren't in any boxs. What I did to this one was to line all drawers with thin auto headliner with the foam side up held in place in each drawer with large two sided tape on all four sides stuck to the drawer bottoms. With the drawers lined with foam, all the engines and cars lie on their sides and won't slide around.
All my freight cars in their jewel cases are stored stacked in large boxs.
I really love these carts and plan to get a couple more to store the rest of my engines, freight and passenger cars in.
All three I paid $100.00 each for. Brought them home and gave them a good cleaning.
Check around hospitals and see if they have any old unused rolling medicine cabinets ----------------------
