Anyone hear anything about these? There was quite a bit of interest shown a couple of years ago when expressions of interest were asked for, I think from memory prototypes were made but no production was done as no bigger players stepped up to the plate.

Just stirring the pot to see if anything pops up  ;D ;D

Definite interest here. Who was thinking about doing them?

I think this project's been around as long as I've been on the forums.  :o

I remember a couple of the players involved were Randy Gustafson and Charlie Vlk.

Randy made the truck side frames for the previous project pre 2008. The one I'm talking about is here:

It was basically ready to be produced. ;D

Must not have found a manufacturer to bite on it.  Maybe it's something that FVM will be involved with based on Charlie's association?

I disagree with Charlie that a smaller manufacturer can take the DT-6-6-2000 / PRR RT-624 project on. More than one designer has the full set of BLH drawings in their possession. It's just a matter of doing it right with the people that can do the job.

Charlie would not say who was considering producing the loco (but eluded to who was not), but said we should know by NSC or NTS. I would expect the HO version to be done first before the N (Like the Atlas Coil Cars). Do NOT expect the Lima LT-2500 predecessor to the DT-6-6-2000 to be done. Lima only made 25 and all were sold only to the PRR.
