Scratchbuild by Joe strikes again

He advertises on Trainboard and in N-Scale Magazine. I just don't get it.
http://cgi.ebay.com/250708535889

All I see is a poorly painted gater/foamboard diorama with real chicken wire "fence" and out of scale vehicles. Its garish, cartoonish and of poor taste.

Look at the stuff on his website:
http://www.scratchbuiltbyjoe.com/index.html
"Cutesy" name/play on words? Check
Cotton balls as chimney smoke? Double check
Sewing/wire thread on a spool as coil load? Ugh check check check

Now I wouldn't pick on a guy for making his own stuff. I have plenty of items that will never see the light of day because frankly, they suck. I bet we all have our own failures. But to advertise it? To sell it at such a mark up?

Its kind of like watching American Pickers. These guys who want $200 for a 60 year old oil can.

Anyway, one more reason why eBay needs a voting system. If ten people vote your item as junk, its gets automatically delisted from the category. That would help keep the junk, inappropriately listed items and misrepresented items off.

Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

I just assumed the guy was "special".  (for real)  The "coil" loads are just various colors of wire coiled around a pencil.
NOTE: I'm no longer active on this forum.   If you need to contact me, use the e-mail address (or visit the website link) attached to this username.  Thanks.

Do tell, what do you mean by that? I ride the short bus, and I have never seen him on it.

Not too defend Ebay or suggest a policy but everybody has a right to build and sell "junk".
