Sunday 11-2-08 was my Z scale layout's first public outing. The little fella was a purrfect gentleman.

The MTL GP35 ran for 5 hours nonstop with absolutely no problems,to say the least I was/am a happy camper.

Looks good Jonathan. The GP35 is one of my favorites because they are such smooth runners.

Yeah, they are real troopers, if nothing else. They've just discontinued their F's--those things were built like tanks, and could pull the sheetrock off your wall.

Layout looks good--keep us up to date.

The MTL GP will spoil you in Z. They are by far the most reliable runners in Z. Other makes will run good, but when it comes to show running, the GP's keep on going. ;D

Looks good! Are you modeling a sand field in the center there though? ;) :)

Got my RH turnout actually 24 hours after I ordered it.(sometimes Walthers simply amazes me  ;D) Anyway here are two update pics showing the teamtrack itself installed.

Next comes weathering the new track, making a parking lot, building the dock/loading ramp, and scenery.

This is the last of the "planned" trackwork for this phase of the layout.

Ok guys, here's the latest update on the Z scale version of the Grande Valley Railway.I had the step ladder in the room so used it to get this overhead picture.

Three more building permits have been issued so the next update should show a new fire station,a new Stop & Rob Market and a Fast Food Joint.I am hoping though doubting that there will be someone with some reasonably priced Z scale vehicles at the show tomorrow.

I have doubts, too, but if you should be so lucky, let us know and some of us will be sure to buy them out.

Layout is looking good--keep the updates comin'.
