Scratchbuilt brass tank car

I scratchbuilt this car in brass. I rolled the tank using .015 sheet brass and turned the ends on a lathe. I photographed and measured it in our local CSX yard. Thanks for looking and I'm glad to be back! [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Nice!   Is that HO scale (judging by the couplers) with P:87 wheels in Kadee trucks?

That would look great in natural sunlight, if you have any outdoor pics ;)

You're right on all points. The couplers are Sergent double shelf. I have outdoor photos with other cars.
Thank you Ed!

Welcome back @Bottomdrain aka @tankcar !  I thought I recognized this model.

Did you intend to return under a new username or did you just forget your old password?  We can merge your accounts if you prefer.

Thank you!
My old tablet gradually lost power. I lost my email and ability to pick up you guys and most others! Yes, I lost my password along with my mind! I'm glad to be back!

Welcome back tankcar!  Nice models! Your type and quality of modeling looked familiar. Now it all makes sense.

Since the forum admin offered to get your old user name reactivated (he can reset the password, and even the email address if that has also changed for you).  You do excellent work and you were quite prolific as "tankcar" - it would be nice to reconnect your old and current modeling efforts under the same user name.

I'm fine with that! Changing my user name would be good! My email is good, so don't change that, please! I have a password that I can remember, so all good there. Thank you for your help.

Regards, Bobby
