F Unit detail question

There has been one detail on some F units that I've always wondered about and I was hoping someone could help.

It's underneath the first set of louvers.  The bests I can tell, it's related to the steam generator, some sort of fill or vent.

Thanks for the confirmation.  I've been operating under that assumption.  It's been a pretty useful detail to identify (at least narrow down) the road number of some B units in consist.

What are the chances the IM will have it on their FP unit? ::)
