Here is my progress with scratch built turnouts. I finished the turnout cluster (16 all in one piece) peeled it from my CAD drawing and started mounting on a board.

And this is the aerial photo of the real yard that I scanned and resized to N and imported into CAD, then traced over it. All tracks match the prototype and all siding hold the same amount of cars as the real thing.

Those grid lines are 7.25" apart.

That is quite possibly one of the best switching layouts I've ever seen. AWESOME work.

Thanks guys. Here is a temporary photo showing the whole place in 1972:

My layout will end at the water and the float bridge and car float will be a fold up leaf, maybe someday I will add another 2 feet and model them.

In the photo the trackwork is slightly different from 1945. The red arrow is the Lifschultz sign I've been asking about.

Richie,

I'll use the same linkage I've been using for years:

Guess I should start on that next...

Well, I am almost finished on a new project and I thought I would post a progress pic. Here is a screenshot of the Portal Sway Brace and the Floorbeam detail overlay.

As can be seen, I am not skimping on the detail on this bridge. The detail level should surpass any/all expectations of modelers (Attention Rivet Counters!!). Almost all of the construction will be tab/slot with detail overlays to cover the slots for easy assembly.

New England Southern had a track patrol on the White Mountain Branch on April, 21. Myself and 3 other cars patrolled from Concord to Sargent St in Northfield (End of NEGS track). We then received permission from the Hobo to run to the draw at Lakeport.

We set on at Concord at 0730, and the temps quickly rose to 80 degrees by mid day. The warm weather was a great welcome, ending a LONG snowy winter for NH.

Along the NEGS section we inspected culverts, cleaned crossings, and cut down several trees along the line. Everything looked pretty good, with a few notations, and it was a great ride.

Clearing trees

Just about to finish up clearing a larger pine

Last years Canterbury 2 washout

My Woodings CBI, in base coat of paint, and less some installed glass from this winters overhaul. This will become NEGS 105.
