For $75 to $150 you can run a DC and a DCC loco on your layout at the same time with the same phone or WiFi throttle...

Does this setup use the DCC track power using "zero stretching" method (address zero)?  If yes, then this type of operation is not recommended as this will heat up standard DC motors. Coreless motors can be damaged from overheating.

Ah, so you don't run DC and DCC models simultaneously. The WiFi throttle will just act as a DC throttle when running in DC mode. That's pretty handy.

Yes it is handy.  How many DC only guys would love to have a wireless phone throttle or the ability to run a WiFi throttle they built or bought, like a TCS-UWT-50 or -100, for $75 to $150?

Use a DCC-EX command station and you have that for 2 blocks/power districts on your layout and can expand that to 4 or 8 blocks for not much more.  Then (DC guys) would also have the ability to try DCC on one or both blocks at any time with a simple menu option on their throttle.  No wiring change, no throwing an electrical switch.

The command station can simultaneously be sending DC to one block and DCC to another...
