In my experience some N scale structure models aren't scaled properly as far as distance between floors, etc.

As for that Con-Cor corner drug store kit, in the model I built I have re-purposed a drug store space into something more fun.  :)

This is amazing. The dark ambiance is spot on. I hope you share your write-up here.

Peter - very nicely done.

You’ve got a lot of us curious to learn more, so maybe you can move this up on your busy “to do” list!

Peteski...
I'm interested in how you did that as well.  My own best guess is that is a back lit photo of a painting or illustration. But in any case, BRAVO- terrific illusion.

On the other hand, you created those decals for our Farmall tractors that are so small that I need an Optivisor to read them- so... maybe you did paint those shadows onto the faces of your figures...

Edit.... Peteski, your post following this one makes clear the model really is 3D, and not a backlit photo... so, I am amazed... look forward to your construction post.

Tom D.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

Thanks!
The main reason for the natural-lookign ambiance was that the tiny light sources are in the same locations (multiple overhead locations) as they would be in 1:1 bar, so the shadows and the way the light hits the surroundings look natural. I then manually adjusted the camera's shutter speed and aperture to produce a darker image and sufficient depth-of-field. Using automatic settings the image would be much brighter.  I myself was quite happy with the way that photo came out.  I'll see if I can expedite posting the construction thread.

I will look forward to watching all the builds that crop up.
It's a bit like watching the purposes of a house change over the years, all building the same model.

That bar interior is superb  8)

I also got a large square of textured plastic brick sheet in the box, no idea if its part of the store or not, it doesn't look like it.  Maybe its a freebie from the factory?
