GP15 Decoder options, Sound?

So poking around the interwebs and here have led me to believe that without the ESU 73100 it's no longer possible to add sound to a GP15 without hardwiring a decoder.
Are there any other options now?
I had briefly considered finding a GP7/9 chassis, but I'm not sure if that would fit either.

The ESU 58751 is a direct replacement for the 73100. I've installed the 73100 into 3 Atlas GP15's and they work quite well. The 58751 is almost identical in layout with the addition of keep alive contact points on the decoder.

I did an install on the Atlas N Trainman GP15-1 using the ESU LS5 58751 and milled the rear split-frames for a custom SBS4DCC 8mm x 12mm speaker baffle, the speaker was a Soberton SP-1208. I hardwired the orange and gray motor leads to the bottom pcb traces, ran kapton tape to isolate from the frame. I have pictures of my install up on the SBS4DCC website (thank you Bryan Vianco). Having converted several old style GPs, you can mill off the frame ends, install an 8/12mm speaker with a 1.5-2mm thick (high?) backcase.  An ESU 58923 fits perfectly in the other end of the frame in the cab area.  I tap the frames in the "thick" parts 1-72, then use some short brass screws to hold the two power leads.  I posted my latest conversion in N scale area.

I also use the same method of  brass screws on the white metal chassis for soldering electrical pickup leads, except I use 00-90 screws. 1-72 seems awfully large to me for our small N scale models.

Sometimes I file off the heads after screwing tightly into the frame.  Then put solder onto the stub.  Then, just solder the decoder wires to the top of the stubs.  All depends on my mood at the time!
