Recommend an airbrush compressor?

Anyone able to recommend specs for a good quality airbrush compressor?  I have one from years ago, but it is tankless, and I'd prefer one with a tank (quieter).

For example: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004285RLS/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_2?smid=&psc=1 ?

I have this one.
Perfect.  Quiet, plus enough capacity and oomph to power my other air tools.

I bought a California Air Tools 1p1060s 3 years ago specifically for use as an airbrush compressor, having lived with a smaller general purpose compressor that was just way too loud. Its rated at 58 DB and I'm extremely happy with it (using it exclusively for airbrush work). It was cheap on Amazon, at the time at least.

I have this one.  https://www.globalindustrial.com/p/quiet-electric-air-compressor-oil-free-1-hp-2-gallon-capacity-2-cfm.  As I also use it for other air tools and the two gallon capacity is as low as I could go for that other use.

The Harbor Freight equivalent looks to be much the same but a lot less expensive.

I have two CAT compressors and they're easily the quietest lower priced compressors you can buy.  One's in the basement (CAT 1P1060S) on the paint booth and the other is in the garage (CAT 1020A) for pumping up tires, using air tools and my Paasche Air Eraser.

Great compressors...  You won't be disappointed if you buy one.

Mark,

My old compressor gave out a year ago or so, and I decided look online for a decent "airbrush" compressor that would also give me a little more air volume than "airbrush only" compressors that airbrush companies sell.

After reading the reviews and seeing the comparisons, I decided on the Harbor Freight Tools Fortress 2 Gallon, 135 PSI, Two Connector, Aluminum Tank (no rust), 2.1 SCFM (@ 90 PSI) Ultra-Quiet (60 dBA) Compressor for $189.99.

I also considered their 1 Gallon Fortress, Ultra-Quiet (57 dBA) Compressor, but I decided that for the extra 30 bucks, a bigger tank, more than twice the airflow, two connectors, and only 2 dBA noisier, the 2 Gallon was the one I'd get.

However, for airbrush ONLY, the 1 Gallon model would work just fine I'm sure and be 2 dBA quieter.

Here's mine at work next to my spray booth.

I am totally happy with this compressor and I barely hear it come on.  It pumps up fast and is excellent quality construction and provides plenty of air for a few things other than airbrushing.

Cheerio!

I use the same Fortress compressor as @robert3985 and and @wazzou and am very happy with it.  Bonus is that it has enough oomph to top off my car tires too.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

I have had the 1 gallon fortress from Harbor Freight for over 1 year, it is very quiet. I use it 4 -5 days a week and I highly recommend it
