D&H's 50' NACC RBL cars

Hi All!
   The D&H leased NACC 50' RBL plug-door box cars. And I have acquired Atlas, Walther's, and Athearn models ( which I have upgraded with body mount couplers, new trucks and have changed several numbers). But the actual service they were used for I am not sure of.

    In the D&H Painting Guide, on Pg 56, top image I was able to read the following" When Empty Return to EL RR in Buffalo for Pillsbury CO." So were they used for bagged flour or other food products? Why not classified as XF? On the page 28009 does not have a car class visible, but 28031 is classified as RBL.
 
    Can someone explain?

They could also have been used for canned goods, in which case they wouldn't have to be XF.  Many RBLs were used for products in cans or jars which need protection from extreme temperatures, but not a specific temperature.

You might try joining railcarphotos.com and asking about them on their forum... some knowledgeable guys on there may have the answers as it's a freightcar aficionado website. Only of these cars on the site is a spiffy 28009 though. Listed as RBL there as well.
