Long re-railer

Anyone here made or even 3D printed a long re-railer that would work well with passenger cars or long locos like a Big Boy (gulp)?  I have some ideas but figure why re-invent the wheel if there's a working model out in the wild.

I use the kato rerailer. No issues with my passenger cars.

What if you took 2 re-railers from the same brand, cut/sanded down the wheel blocks on the high end, and glued them together end to end?

I knew someone in my N trak days who did this with 2 Microtrains railer ramps. Pretty sure he just glued them back to back and it worked okay.

Also the Rix and Minitrix ramps are bigger then kato. There was a couple companies that made really big etched metal ones as well.

Someone was printing them already.  Not sure what facebook group he was posting to but I think it might have been one of the n scale for sale facebook pages or possibly someone in the Freemo-N facebook group.

That sounds like a phantom short waiting to happen...

Bachmann makes one that is 7.25" long

And they make a powered one that is 9" long

Not sure how that compares to the regular ones.

The proto87 stores one appears to be in two isolated pieces fwiw.

Although reading the description it is a different more complicated system.

Ugh!  I'll see if I can find it/him.  I hate FB!     I checked Thingyverse and no luck.

This seems like something very simple to design.  How long is a Big Boy?

I just breezed through the groups I thought it might have been posted in but can't find it.  I know someone was doing them though and listed them for under $20 I believe.

Maybe post a want ad and see if someone replies if you are on any of the sale groups.
