PRICE REDUCED! KD currently has a 10' round culvert for small creeks, but I have been wanting to design the much larger (nearly a small bridge length) culvert for small rivers, based on the subject plan.  I will be offering them as a resin printed set plus shipping.

I would think either your own prints or use the print for a cast resin master. I know you're a stickler for dimensional accuracy with prints, but I feel its less essential here.

Thanks, I'll try to print one at home. lots of places to hide the supports.  I hate casting and mixing resins almost as much as I hate resin printing!  lol.

SLA prints will be better looking than Shapeways nylon (and those will not soak up paint like a sponge).  While not your thing, I agree with Gareth that this type of an item is simple enough to be resin-cast, even in a 1-piece open mold.  Maybe you could find some resin caster and have joint venture?  Provide the master and collect residuals?

Or maybe plaster castings?  Probably just as messy as resin, but likely cheaper, and less odor.

I think that's one aspect of Shapeways that is absolutely worth it: it means you don't have to provide customer service!

Although that is true, there is really no inventory as I can print on the fly.

And they came out nicely, see the pics above, as I am turning this thread into an official announcement.

Thanks for the reminder. I remembered the survey but missed the fact they are moving forward.
Happy to hear that. It's such a distinctive car, I have to have at least one; Pennsy house cars traveled all over.
