You might only need to make a some at your tree line and then populate behind with pre-made trees. There are some folks out there that sell fairly decent trees (at least I have seen some).

This is kind of what I’ve been leaning towards. I have loads of trees from meh to slightly better than acceptable. They would be good for filler along with foam and puffs and such. I want to make some really nice ones though for the waters edge and clearing and such. I guess that’s the tree line.

 I’ve been looking at the fellow’s conifer tutorials and they are very inspiring. I’ve also got a bunch of super trees. Just haven't made any yet.
