If you like to use these drill bits like I do, you can repurpose the shanks from broken bits.
Since carbide is quite brittle, you can use pliers to snap off the small tip left behind after the the bit breaks.
Using piece of 1/8” shrink tubing you can do two things, lengthen the bit, and add a more grippable surface.
It will not work in a drill obviously due to the joint in the middle. After I shrink the tube, I snip off the ring. A piece of scotch tape could be used to ID the drill size, but these are all 0.010”.
The idea came to me when drilling out the printed holes in the bosses on this part. I had to reach past the end of the part to get to all three bosses.
